Similes

We have been looking at similes and found a song by Lenka. We took the words of the song and illustrated them. Louise, Elisha and Loveday then turned the pictures into a movie. Here is the end result.

Goats or No Goats

A7 have been looking at persuasive writing.  We wrote letters to Mrs Compston about having goats on the school field.  Some people wrote for and some wrote against.  Here are some people reading their letters.  Who do you agree with?

Chameleons in Danger!!

Giraffes reading group read a book about chameleons and then made an information report using Publisher. They are telling people to look after chameleons as they are in danger of extinction.

Our Visit to the Stardome

On Tuesday we visited the Stardome. Nailah and Louise made a slideshow of our trip. They added all the transitions themselves and added captions to the pictures.

The Sun and the Moon

Avantika and Sawanpreet made a movie of members of A7 showing what they have learnt about the sun and the moon.

Maui and the Sun

We read the story of Maui and the Sun. Then we used Paint on the computer to make pictures to go with the story. We also drew some pictures. Rishaad and Elisha retold the story in their own words, and read the story over the pictures.

Pirate Adventures

We read a book called 'The Night Pirates' by Peter Harris.  It is very exciting and has some funny parts especially where the big pirate says "If you don't give me my treasure back, I'll tell my MUM!"

Then we wrote our own pirate stories.
